Created the AR&PA PTEC Young Research Awards

The Spanish Construction Technology Platform (PTEC) aims to bring Spanish construction sector at a high technological level, identifying and analyzing the main challenges related to technology and sustainable development that it has to deal and mobilizing the strategies to tackle and deal effectively such challenges in the coming decades.

In this sense, the platform invites young researchers that have researched in areas applicable to the field of the preservation of the heritage to participate in the first edition of AR&PA PTEC Young Research Awards.

The Awards established three categories:

1. Award to the best PhD thesis whose results could be applicable to the conservation and restoration of heritage. The PhD thesis must have been submitted over the course 2010-2011 either be provided for his defense during the academic year 2011-2012
2. Award for best end of career/end of master's project that could be applied to the restoration and preservation of heritage. Project should have been presented throughout the course 2010-2011 either be provided to his defense during the academic year 2011-2012
3. Award for the best innovative idea of application to the restoration and preservation of heritage
