From 13 to 16 November, the Miguel Delibes Conference Centre will host the 9th AR&PA Biennial on the theme of Society and Heritage.
The title of AR&PA 2014 will be Society and Heritage and, as in previous years, a comprehensive program of activities is being developed, which will once again turn Valladolid into the international capital of Cultural Heritage for the four days of the Biennial.
The 9th AR&PA Biennial of Heritage Restoration and Management will be held for the first time at the Miguel Delibes Cultural Centre in Valladolid, one of the most eye-catching buildings in the city. Opened in 2007, it was designed by the well-known architect Ricardo Bofill and is home to the Symphony Orchestra of Castilla y León. At over 70,000 m2 it can host any kind of event, making it the perfect place for a diverse and multidisciplinary event such as AR&PA.
Preparations are already underway and many entities have already confirmed their attendance at AR&PA 2014, including institutions such as the Spanish Institute of Cultural Heritage, the Community of Madrid (autonomous region/regional government), the National Research Centre on Human Evolution, ICOMOS Mexico and the Santa María La Real Foundation. Some of the projects participating in AR&PA Innovation have also been confirmed. This program will be the Biennial’s showcase for technology and research for the third year running.
Several companies that attended in previous years have also confirmed their presence in AR&PA Business, such as Kimia, as well as newcomers such as Portal Forá, Grupo Puma and Spira from Portugal.
AR&PA 2014 will once again include programs focusing on Employment, Initiatives and Museums. The National Heritage Workshop Schools and the National Sculpture Museum, will join others once again at the forefront of the AR&PA Biennial.
Our new AR&PA Facebook page allows you to catch up with all the most important developments and latest news about the upcoming Biennial. The page will also enable you to keep abreast of news from AR&PA exhibitors and participants.
