The 2014 AR&PA Biennial was presented at the Restauro Fair in Ferrara (Italy) and the Heritage Day in Guimarães, Portugal.
The presentation at both these events by the Junta de Castilla y León was aimed at encouraging institutions and companies from these two countries to attend the 2014 AR&PA Biennial.
The 21st Restauro Fair was held in March in Ferrara, Italy. A collaboration agreement is already in place with this event, and also with the Denkmal event in Leizpig (Germany) and the Salon du Patrimoine Culturel in Paris. A work forum was heldduring the event, focusing on AR&PA and the European EVoCH Platform, a project which is also led by the Junta de Castilla y León. Following this event, several Italian entities showed an interest in attending the 9th AR&PA Biennial and some of them have already confirmed their participation, such as the Alternativa Arte Association.
More recently, the Portuguese city of Guimaraes hosted a workshop in May entitled “Heritage numbers in Spain and Portugal” led by the company Spira, which organises the Patrimonio.pt Millennium Bcp Fair in Portugal. The AR&PA was signed at the event and a collaboration agreement signed between the two most important cultural heritage fairs on the Iberian Peninsula.
The partnership will enable a higher number of Portuguese entities to attend AR&PA and will also help companies and entities from Castilla y León to take part in Portugal’s most important cultural heritage event next October.
