The pursuit of internationalising AR&PA, which begun in 2014 with India´s prominent role, will continue in the forthcoming AR&PA 2016, 10th Biennial of Heritage Restoration and Management. On this occasion, the Iberian twining within Cultural Heritage, expression of the converging history and feeling of two countries, will be highlighted with the presence of Portugal as guest country.

This collaboration is the result of the agreement signed with the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, which formalizes the smooth communication on heritage issues between Portugal and Castilla y Leon, reflected in common interventions such as the Cross-border cooperation operational program Spain - Portugal (POCTEP 2007-2013), the HISTCAPE or e-CREATE, or the recent and promising Duero-Douro initiative.

This participation will also strengthen the agreement signed two years ago for the joint marketing and broadcasting of the AR&PA and the Patrimonio.pt fairs, aimed to consolidate and expand both events and facilitate professional, trade and business exchanges. The goal is to achieve a single Iberian fair which will alternately be held in Portugal and Spain. In 2016, the bonds will be further strengthened by the strong presence of institutions, entrepreneurs, professionals and Portuguese associations in the AR&PA Biennial.
