Description:

The seminar will be held in Koblenz, Germany and the issue is: "Value Creation and New Business Models by Energy Efficiency Measures in Historic Buildings"

Energy efficiency measures have become a relevant topic in the operation of historic buildings and the preservation and development of historic town centres. Investing inenergy efficient restoration of cultural heritage sites creates economic and social value and increases quality of life for inhabitants and visitors. However, the effects are not yet sufficiently explored and economically exploited.

The seminar will discuss value-cost-models regarding energy efficient measures in cultural heritage and identify new business fields, which offer economic benefits and chances for future employment. European best practices will show existing experiences in order to create support mechanisms for urban and regional development.
